Kontakt Budapest International Improvisation Festival is an annual event, has been organized every summer since 2002. For a week long period teachers are invited from abroad as well as from Hungary to share, to exchange, to teach, to perform, to discuss, to open up new territories, etc.

Since its start, it moves on, changing themes, changing locations, but keeping the focus on discovering, exploring the Art of dance and movement improvisation. The festival has workshops, open classes, jams, theory, discussions, video showings, resting, playing together. With the program it is offering different methods to work with the moving self , to study improvisation, creation as well as contact improvisation from several directions. Participants are encouraged to explore performing improvisation and lead labs and research their interests.

The video has been made during the 2012 Festival and it is an edited documentation of the event presenting most teachers and programs.
