- TITLE OF THE ACTIVITY:  DIALOGUE

DETAILED CONTENT DESCRIPTION (max. 2000 characters):

Once, when starting a research residency with new collaborators, we had many questions about where and how to move forward. We could have discussed it for days, but decided to stop deliberating and begin.  DIALOGUE is an experimental score that is designed to create time and space for meeting others in a place of open practice. In the context of IDOCDE, it offers the community an opportunity to slow down, break from analyzing, and share from our rich and diverse backgrounds. We won’t pre-plan our contributions, we’ll jump straight into the mix.

Because we carry our movement practices and cultural histories with us, we won’t need to perform or show these; sharing our presence, attention, and taking small risks will be enough for a DIALOGUE. What emerges out of our contact? Pleasure? Compromise? Risk? What else? If possible, participants are asked to join and stay for the entire session. A shared opening and a closing discussion will frame and bring structure to our time.
