This workshop is developed to inspire own creation for performing and teaching situations. The focus is on improvisation and composition tools to invent, further develop and create multiple versions of choreographic material. The workshop specifically looks at how other media e.g. text and video can function as a starting point and how methods, temporality and situations from e.g. film making can be transposed to live-situations. Further multitasking is proposed as a technique to activate presence and creative mistakes. The workshop tools are developed by Ruth as part of her master project in New Performative Practices at DOCH, Sweden where she focuses on the friction between Live and Not live situations. The tools can be applied independent of dance style. One version of this workshop was taught at Danscentrum Norr, Sweden with the participation of local dance teachers.
