This video has been created during our first local IDOC meeting in Stolzenhagen, May 2012. Rather than documenting any teaching experience, it documents a special state of the meeting it self. In the context of teaching and how knowledge is being transmitted, I would like to raise the following questions:
When do the personal histories become the collective history?
How much is your teaching influenced by your personal history, the persons you meet, …?
How personal is the material you teach?
How do you document / make visible non-verbal knowledge vs. verbal knowledge?
When do we learn what and where?
What kind of container for knowledge, information, memory and experience is a single body and mind?
This IDOC is an homage to our bodies, precious and ephemeral containers of mysterious non-verbal information. A glimpse to beyond what this website will never be able to contain.
