At the beginning of class I invite performers to allow whatever themes, materials, trigger points, “things”, actions of body, even denial and rejection as ground for improvisation. We are playing with inner logic of actions on personal level and way to link them to proportions like the length of an action, its timing, dynamics. In second part of class I give exercises to explore presence of performer and hers/his ways of communication. On classes I ask "What does it really mean to abandon structures?" since the ultimate goal is to abandon them in exchange for honest and coherent presence.
At the end I propose a jam with performative structure where we enjoy our experiece from class.
