Some thoughts...
Today we began with the spine as Subject/Object moving through a process of creation to an improvisational performance. Using today’s score we could embark on another day upon a new creative process leading to a new but related performance. The Principles of our Subject/Object are now inherent in the Score. The Principles in fact color every phase of the process.
An improvisational score gives shape to a process or performance without completely defining the end result. Each process will have a different product but will be formed by the principles built into the score.
A metaphor...
We can say that the spine represents the Subject/Object and is connected by the nerves (Principles) to the creatively active limbs. The actions of the limbs connect back through the Principles (nerves) to inform the spine. The spine can then take on the function of a Score. It can then again via the Principles guide the creative limbs to produce a Performance. One can return time and again to the Score to recreate the Performance.
Thanks for sharing the creative work with us today.

John,
I'd be interested to hear a brief description of your experience with focusing on a different Subject/Object than the spine (including your perception of what specific Principles would fall under said Subject/Object). I enjoyed your synopsis of the process and hope to see more elaboration! :)
Thank you,
Heidi
