Lecture on fascia
Fascia can be described as our "organ of form". Research on fascia recently has come into focus in medicine and therapy. What is this all about, and what is relevant for dancers and movers when it comes to fascia? This lecture will look at fascia from a Myoreflex viewpoint and touch upon the tensegrity model, the importance of myokine, and aspects of interoception and fascia.

Short bio:
Dr. med. Kurt Mosetter founded Myoreflex therapy and Neuro-myology. He heads ZiT – Centre for Interdisciplinary Therapies (DE) and is consulter at Paramed (CH). Since 2011 he works with the US national football team, supervising the players’ fitness and health, i.e. during the World Championship in Brazil.
Medical foci: pain, neuromuscular trauma therapy, neurodegenerative ailments, developmental delays, nutritional medicine. He works closely with Prof. Dr. Gottfried Fischer (Psycho- Traumatology, University of Köln) and with Prof. Dr. Dieter Felsenberg (Research of Muscles and Bones, Charite, Berlin).
Long bio:
Dr. med. Kurt Mosetter founded Myoreflex therapy. Integrating Biochemistry and Neurobiology he conceived the concept of Neuro-myology. He is head of the ZiT – Centre for Interdisciplinary Therapies (in Gutach, Herrenberg, Konstanz, Köln) and consulter at Paramed (Baar, CH). Since 2011 he works with the national football team of the United States, supervising the health and fitness of the players of the team, such as during the World Championship in 2014 in Brazil.
His medical focus is on: pain, neuromuscular trauma therapy, neurological / neurodegenerative ailments, developmental delays in young age, and nutritional medicine. He works closely with the Institute for Psycho-Traumatology with Prof. Dr. Gottfried Fischer (University of Köln) and the Institute for Research of Muscles and Bones Prof. Dr. Dieter Felsenberg (Charite – Campus Benjamin Franklin, Berlin).
