Improvisation is probably the most original and primary form of art. It combines technical skill with playfulness, asks for letting go of what is familiar and known to joyfully open up to the impulses of the moment.
Improvisation supports the ability to unreservedly expose oneself to a situation, and to act with clarity and directness. It requires courage, shrewdness, sharpness and awareness in mind, body and senses. In improvisation for a moment the body becomes permeable and opens up a surprising and wide range of expression.
This we can learn to put into action. To recognise, accept and take in the momentary state and „what is“ without judging it, the hightening of awareness and spontaneousness in decision-making are being worked on, and widening the field of our potential choice-possibilities in the game.
