IDOCs » [FFTD] Where is freedom in methods?
'Freedom does not exist in methods, for methods are binding, however much support one may find in them.' Basic Buddhist Concepts, Henry van Zeyst, p. 197 What about in dance and dance teaching? What are methods that we use and do they get binding? If so, does this mean the dance/student/teacher loose the freedom? What is freedom, anyway?

I find freedom in letting go of product-driven outcomes. The question "what did you get out of that?" was recently posed to me and I was taken aback. It is a practice to be non-acquisitive. It is counter to the prevailing economies. Ideas and coachings to "get somewhere" I am trying ot abandon in the classroom and instead opt for championing ongoingness.

we share our experience, tools, stimuli, impulses.... we set the limits for that specific moment.... feel free to get inspired, combine the elements you get and fly...
